Shooting investigation underway east of Colorado Springs Thursday

 

On Thursday, authorities were investigating a gunshot east of Colorado Springs.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office was unable to provide many facts beyond the fact that an active investigation was occurring between Piros Drive and Chantilly Place in Cimarron Hills. When 11 News arrived at the site at 12:15 p.m., crime tape was already up and blocking one of the roadways in the vicinity.

According to the sheriff's office, this was an isolated event, and no one perished as of the most recent report. It is unclear whether everyone has been accounted for.

More information is scheduled to be revealed Thursday, so this post will be updated.
