Israeli soldiers have retrieved the bodies of three captives in Gaza, including Shani Louk, according to authorities.
The remains of three captives slain in a #Hamas attack in #Israel on #October 7 have been retrieved in Gaza's southern city of Rafah, according to an Israeli military spokeswoman.
According to Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, the Israel Defense Forces recovered the remains of Shani Louk, a 22-year-old German-Israeli, Amit Buskila, 28, and Itshak Gelernter, 56.
A photo of Louk's twisted body in the back of a pickup truck went viral, shedding information on the scope of the Oct. 7 attack at a music event in the southern Israeli desert, near the #Gaza Strip border.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the deaths as "heartbreaking," adding, "We will return all of our #hostages, both living and dead."
The military did not provide immediate information on where their remains were discovered, but claimed it was the product of intelligence gathering. Israel has been acting in #Rafah, where it claims it has intelligence that captives are being kept.
